Choosing a dojo from Borough Park
Most families looking for karate in Borough Park are choosing between a few storefront schools that opened in the last decade and a traditional dojo that has been running since 1972. Those are genuinely different products, and it is worth knowing which one you are walking into.
What you get here is a single room, one lineage, and rank that is graded rather than scheduled. Nobody collects a belt every ten weeks. If you want a program that guarantees your child a black belt by a certain birthday, we are not that, and we will say so on the phone rather than waste your time.

Kids · 6–12
Children train in the same system, in the same room, to the same standard, as every student who has trained at this dojo.

Teenagers get treated as capable. The training is demanding and the expectations are clear, which is usually the point for anyone who walks in at this age.

You do not need any experience to start. We welcome students of any skill level, starting from zero. Zen Goju Temple is a fighting school. Friday classes also teach conditioning and grappling.
